La Maison du Chocolat held its grand opening of its first Boston location at their newly opened boutique in the Mandarin Oriental Boston, a premier Boylston Street location in the heart of the Back Bay. Hotel General Manager, Markus Lindner, and Residences Director of Operations, Edward Dustin, as well as representatives from La Maison du Chocolat, cut the ribbon officially announcing the opening of the storefront to the public.
Boston Realty Advisors introduced the renowned Parisian chocolatier, La Maison du Chocolat to its first Boston location. Retail leasing specialists Whitney Gallivan and Joe Wagner from BRA handled the transaction on behalf of the landlord. Boston Realty Advisors also assisted La Maison du Chocolat in securing its second location, representing the tenant for its space now open in the main level of Boston’s Copley Place.
Founded in Paris in 1977, La Maison du Chocolat is internationally recognized for its handcrafted chocolates, ganaches, pralines, truffles, macarons and pastries. The new Boston boutiques place the brand within one of New England’s most prominent luxury retail, hospitality and residential districts, steps from Newbury Street, the Prudential Center, and the heart of Copley Place.
“La Maison du Chocolat is exactly the type of exceptional international brand we want to bring to Boston’s premier retail corridors,” said Whitney Gallivan, Senior Managing Director and Partner at Boston Realty Advisors. “The Mandarin Oriental and Copley Place locations provide the visibility, surrounding luxury environment and customer base that fit the brand extremely well.” Joe Wagner, Managing Director of Boston Realty Advisors, said, “This transaction reflects the way we approach retail leasing: identifying best-in-class brands that strengthen a property and a neighborhood, while also building relationships that extend beyond a single transaction.”
“We are excited to have helped bring La Maison du Chocolat to Boston and are working with the brand as it evaluates additional premier locations throughout the country,” Wagner said.
Boston Realty Advisors continues to work with La Maison du Chocolat while the company considers opportunities for additional boutiques in premier retail markets in select U.S. markets, consistent with the brand’s luxury positioning and international identity.
